One effective way to spread awareness and encourage engagement for a certain issue is to write a text that can be published in one of Sweden’s many newspapers. We hope that you will write about the importance of stopping the slaughter.
Visit the website of the newspaper that you would like to write to so that you can find out what applies for submitting letters to the editor, opinion pieces, and debate articles, as well as to which e-mail address to send your text. For tips on writing such texts, we suggest reading the excellent Westanders PR-Handbook.
Nowadays, many people can be reached through social media. Feel free to write on Facebook, Instagram, etc., about Stop the Slaughter and share our posts so that more people can see them.
It is often easier to make an impact in the region where you live. If there is a slaughterhouse in your vicinity, you can start a local campaign for closing it. Please contact us if you would like to have a discussion about how this can happen.
Above all, people with time and energy are needed to drive such a campaign as this. There is also a need for funding to print signs, flyers, etc.
